So:
I'm a songwriter/musician/producer/engineer from Sacramento, California. I also work with Sling Media.
I'm the owner of a studio called Station To Station.
Senior Contributor for TapeOp mag too.
Until recently, I had also been making electronic music under the name Night Night. I've been in various bands including Deathray, Western Family Orchestra, LGS, Micronauts, etc. I've toured all over the US and Canada and toured Europe in 2008 with my friend Jonah Matranga.
I have a rad wife and son and I'm in a perpetual state of confusion over just how stupid lucky I am to have them both in my life.
Recently:
- recorded and/or produced a number of artists including Joanna Newsom (Drag City), The High Speed Scene (Star Trak/Interscope), Soft Science (Darla), Golden Shoulders, Two Sheds, Aaron Ross, Lee Bob Watson, The Jolenes, Goodmornings, Amee Chapman, Them Hills, Daisy Spot & many others
- released the first Night Night E.P., "Stuntman & Psychic", through Observatory, the netlabel branch of Skylab, a European experimental/electronic label.
- wrote & recorded songs for the Sony Pictures Animation film "Open Season", featured on the soundtrack with Paul Westerberg
- placed some music in various cheesy American TV shows like Ghost Whisperer, One Tree Hill & Gossip Girl
- produced experimental music & video for Project Soundwave (a live sound-art collaborative based in SF)
- got my shit together
